TyLene the Orphan!!

TyLene was an orphan in the play Annie!! I went last night with MeLinda, Aunt Jo & Uncle Andy. The play was so cute and TyLene did a great job being an orphan. We met at El Tapito and ate before the play. The funniest thing was at the end, and MeLinda wasn't clapping, and TyLene pointed to her and told her that she needed to clap. It was hilarious! It was a good play. I just love going to those kinds of events!!

Last weekend, Rob and Nancy got married! So we went down on Friday and helped Aunt Brenda in her yard. Mom, Grandpa and I worked in the yard, and Dad did other projects that Aunt Brenda had for him. We got a lot done, and the yard looks a lot better. Grandpa said he was going out to keep on trimming the weeds and this is where I found him! Later that afternoon, Uncle Stan and his 3 younger sons and Aunt Sally showed up. They helped for a little while, then we went to Chuck-A-Rama for dinner! Grandpa was exhausted and beat so he stayed at the house, and bathed and ate. But Grandma came with us!!! It's Dad's favorite place to eat, so when he knew we were going down to Ogden, he decided we should eat there!!

I went and waited outside the temple with Uncle Stan's boys. Then we went to Kaysville for a luncheon. They had the best Prime Rib, I have ever had, with funeral potatoes and fresh fruit! It was good, then we went to Evanston to the reception. We found out that day that Shauna and Jared are expecting another baby!! Sean and MeLinda made it at the end of the reception! I was glad they made it. MeLinda and I brought the suburban home that night, and we had a good visit on the way home!!

Ever since TyLene was born they have been the best of buds!! TyLene has her Papa wrapped around his little finger. I just love seeing them together and they are just so cute together!!

On Tuesday night, the housekeepers had a birthday party for Gwen. So we went up to Bennington to a camping place that Tracy's family has. It was a beautiful place. We had a great time and had lots of good food. After the party, Mom and I went and watched "Letters to Juliet"! It's the second time I have seen it and I love it! Such a cute flick!!

Spring Fever!!

I'm so glad to finally see the sun and not be cold 24 hours a day!!

It has been since Christmas since I updated my blog. So I need to do a lot of catching up!!! For New Year's we went out to the lake to Aunt Jo's condo and played games and ate!! Some of the kids went swimming! It was a fun night. New year's weekend we went to Salt Lake as a family! We stayed at the Airport Inn, and everyone really enjoyed the swimming pool. The first night we went to McGrath's Fish House for dinner! Then next morning morning and part of the afternoon we went to Ikea and enjoyed looking around, some found good things to buy! Then Thomas & Kali took MeLinda's kids out to Alaina's. We met Kali's family at Chuck-A-Rama for dinner before going to the Jazz game. Then we went to the Jazz game, they played the Denver Nuggets and the Jazz got slaughtered that night. On Sunday, we got up and came home.

On Friday January 22, my friend Verolinda's husband Arturo got baptized!! They were married last April and have a little boy Gabriel! So it was neat to see him enter the waters of baptizm! I'm so proud of him, and know he will be blessed for his decision. After the baptism we went with all of Verolinda's family to eat at In-N-Out!! It was delicious. While I was at In-N-Out my friend Javier called and invited me the next day to another baptism. His brother-in-law Leonel got baptized. It worked out perfect because I already had my church clothes with me. So the next day I made it to Leonel's baptism!!

Hermana Alexandra Marrero came from the Dominican Republic to visit! A couple of us from the mission got together at Hna Raquel DelaRosa Jorgensen's home. Hna Mikelle Ostler, Hna Kandis Bryant, Hna Jill Peterson, Hna DeLaRosa, Hna Marrero and I got together and ate Dominican Food, reminised about the good ole' times from the mission and watched a movie!! It was good seeing everyone! Hna Marrero brought me spices back from the DR and so I had to make my family Dominican Food!! I spent the night at Mike & Marie's! They got up the next morning to make me breakfast!! It was good seeing them.

February 6th, my really good friend Javier and Brenda were sealed in the Logan Temple! It was a neat experience to be in the temple with them! I'm so proud of them! They are such an example to me, and am so blessed to have their friendship in my life!!

I finally got a job in Logan!! I am working at Hillcrest Elementary as an Aide! I work with small reading groups in Kindergarten, 1st grade and 2nd grade. It's so fun working with little kids again!! Since I'm working in Logan, I moved in with Uncle Sam & Aunt Marilyn! They are so nice to open their home up to me!! It works out great since Uncle Sam travels a lot and Aunt Marilyn is home alone.

I really have been blessed! I'm so grateful for the blessings that I continually have in my life!!

Merry Christmas!!

Merry Christmas everyone! I hope all is well with everyone. I am amazed how fast this year has passed. This year has been a very fun year! As many of you know, I returned from Mexico a year ago in October. I was supposed to return to Mexico a month later, but decided it was in my best interest not to return. I filed for divorce in February and it still is not final. I am hopeful it will be in the next couple of months.

Some of the highlights of my year have been Christmas last year, the Nielson, Small, and Loveland Reunions! Grandma Nielson’s 80th Birthday Party. A trip to Oregon to visit Leah, Ryan and the twins, during the 4th of July! Lots of fun time with my sister MeLinda and her kids TyLene, Tayson, and Jace! Working in the After School Club at Harold B. Lee Elementary! A business trip to Sun Valley with my good friend Lori Zilles, and a visit to the Twin Falls Temple! Great talks with my awesome Mother! Fun activities with my brothers! Walking in the mornings with Grandma & Grandpa Small! My friends Marie & Mike moving back to Salt Lake City! Dropping in and chatting with Aunt Jo! My friends Javier & Brenda taking out their endowments and soon will be sealed! Trips to Salt Lake to visit Alaina & family, Verolinda & Arturo, & other friends! It has been so fun being close to family again!
I am still employed at Bear Lake Memorial as their floor specialist. I’m looking for another job in Cache Valley so that in the fall I can finish my schooling at Utah State University. I will be staying with Uncle Sam & Aunt Marilyn. They have graciously opened their home to me. I am very excited to stay with them!

During this particular Christmas Season, I have realized the great love of our Savior. I’m so thankful for him, and for the things he has done for me. I’m very blessed to have the gospel in my life. I’m very blessed to have the wonderful family that I have. And I’m thankful for their unconditional love & for their continued support!

I love you all & wish you a very Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year.

Lots of Love, RaLauna Ann

Adventures with the Royers!!

Saturday September 19th we went and picked tomatoes in Tremonton. Mom and I spent Friday night at the Royer house, and we got up Saturday morning and went and picked 4 bushel of tomatoes. Tomatoes are great to pick because it doesn't take very long to pick a couple bushel. When we got to MeLinda's at about 10:30 p.m. Jace was still awake. I got this really cute picture with him and mom!!
